Member and co-operative leader of two research projects at the Dept of Architecture and Built Environment, the first one since 2005 about intercultural influences in planning, architecture and design, and the second one since 2009 about aesthetic replacement strategies in hospital environments. Current participation as an affiliated member in the research program CCS – Center for Cognitive Semiotics at SOL, LU, with an individual focus on the study of urban development as related to linguistic, cognitive and cultural evolution theories. (Supported by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond)
Member of the board of AKAD, Academy of Art based research in Architecture and Design, national research network (Supported by Vetenskapsrådet), since 2003.
Member of the Institutional Board of the Dept. of Architecture and Built Environment, Lund University, since 2006.
Member of the Research Board at Lund University Faculty of Engineering, since 2009.
